Media Operations and Promotion
Media operations and promotion are central to MNNRC’s mission to inform, engage, and mobilize citizens. Through a 24/7 digital news portal, active social media channels, and partnerships with radio and television outlets, MNNRC delivers high-quality, evidence-based reporting on governance, law, and accountability across Nepal. Our newsroom comprises experienced journalists, editors, and strategists dedicated to accuracy and impact.
We run targeted campaigns using SEO, sponsored content, and community hashtags to amplify key findings from our research. Initiatives like media tours and “open newsroom” events in provincial centers foster citizen participation and enhance editorial diversity. These efforts build lasting trust with local communities.
By closely monitoring analytics-such as page views, engagement rates, and social shares-we continuously optimize our outreach. Research
At Media Network Nepal and Research Center (MNNRC), research is the foundation upon which all our initiatives are built. We believe that meaningful change begins with a deep, evidence-based understanding of the realities facing society. Our multidisciplinary research team undertakes rigorous studies across a wide spectrum—education, media, journalism, health, agriculture, governance, policing, and more—addressing critical gaps and emerging challenges in Nepal’s development journey. We design and implement national surveys, focus group discussions, and key informant interviews involving policymakers, practitioners, marginalized communities, and change-makers. MNNRC empowers journalists, civil society actors, and public servants through targeted training and capacity-building programs that strengthen governance oversight. Our modular curriculum covers investigative reporting, data journalism, legal frameworks, and media ethics-delivered through expert-led lectures and hands-on exercises in story mapping, source verification, and court observation. Leadership retreats for mid-level government and NGO leaders enhance strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, and institutional effectiveness. To scale impact, we implement a “train-the-trainer” model, equipping select alumni to disseminate knowledge within their organizations.
We collaborate with international media development partners to integrate global best practices, including open-source intelligence tools and collaborative fact-checking networks.
